What to know first
- !A travel eSIM gives you data but not an Indian phone number. Services that send OTP codes to a local number — some banking, some ticketing, occasionally UPI payment flows — will not work. If you specifically need an Indian number, you need a local SIM and the paperwork that comes with it.
