How We Rank
Our methodology for comparing and displaying eSIM plans.
Our Data Sources
All plan data on e-sim.co is sourced directly from official provider channels:
- •Live provider APIs — real-time prices fetched directly from Airalo, Nomad, Roamless, and other participating providers
- •Official partner feeds — structured pricing data supplied directly by providers
- •Manual verification — our team periodically cross-checks listed prices against provider websites
Prices shown are starting-at data. Final pricing, availability, and terms are always confirmed on the provider's official website at the time of purchase.
How Plans Are Ranked
By default, plans on country pages are sorted by price (low to high). This reflects the most common traveler priority — finding the cheapest plan that meets their needs. You can re-sort using the filters provided:

Premium/unlimited plans first
Most Data
Highest data allowance first
Best Value ($/GB)
Most data per dollar spent
Longest Validity
Plans with the longest active period first
Plan Filters
Our filter system lets you narrow plans by:
- Coverage: Filter by country-specific, regional (e.g. Europe-wide), or global plans
- Validity: Duration brackets: 1–7 days, 8–15 days, 16–30 days, 30+ days
- Data Amount: From under 1 GB to unlimited data plans
- Provider: Narrow to a specific provider using the provider tabs
- Preset tabs: Quick filters: Best Value (≤$3/GB), Unlimited, Free Trial ($0), Short Stay (1–10 days), Long Stay (10+ days)
Does Affiliate Status Affect Rankings?
No. Plans are ranked purely on the metrics described above. We do not accept payment from providers to improve their placement. A provider's affiliate commission rate has zero influence on where their plans appear in search results or sort orders.
We include plans from providers with whom we have no affiliate relationship, because our goal is to show every available option — not only the ones that pay us.
Provider Coverage & Ratings
The provider summary table on each country page displays:
- •Number of available plans for that country
- •Starting price for the cheapest plan
- •Network technology (4G / 5G availability)
- •Hotspot / tethering support
- •Community rating (aggregated from public reviews)
- •Short provider description
Ratings are indicative and sourced from publicly available review platforms. They are not independently verified by e-sim.co.
Data Freshness
We update plan data regularly via live API connections. Each country page displays the last sync timestamp. If you notice a price discrepancy, always confirm on the provider's official website before purchasing — provider prices can change without notice.
