Most visitors rent a scooter and ride between beaches, which means live navigation running for hours a day on roads that are poorly signposted and, in the hinterland, poorly covered.

Coverage in Goa
Jio and Airtel cover the coastal strip well, from Arambol in the north down through Anjuna, Baga and Panjim to Palolem in the south. Coverage thins noticeably inland — the spice plantations, Dudhsagar Falls and the Western Ghats hinterland all have gaps, and the interior roads between north and south Goa are patchier than the coast road.
Arriving in Goa
Goa now has two airports: the newer Manohar International (GOX) at Mopa in the north, and the older Dabolim (GOI) in the south. They are around 60 km apart, so check which one you are landing at — arriving at the wrong end of the state with no data and a pre-booked taxi elsewhere is an avoidable problem.
